Besides, you are able to retrieve your Account ID and password with the E-mail address. so please make sure it is valid.

    You must have an account. If you don’t have one, please click here to get one. Please keep your account and email account safe, and don't give the information to anyone. While your account can't be deleted because we safeguard your account information, others may still steal and abuse the account if you give the information away.

  • 8. Why can’t I receive the confirmation email?

    Please be sure to check your Spam or Junk Mail folder. If you still have not received theclear answerirmation email when creating a new account, try creating with another email address or E-mail us.

  • 9. How do I set up my Account Email?

    The Account Email is the email address you use for account registration. You may register up to three accounts with one email. Be sure to remember this email in case you need to retrieve your Account ID and password.

  • 10. Why does the Account System reject my Account ID?

    Our Account System will reject the creation of an Account ID if:

    a) The Account ID contains less than 5 characters or more than 16 characters.

    b) The Account ID contains invalid characters - only alphabetical characters, (i.e. a-z, both upper- and lowercase), numerical characters (i.e. 0-9), and underscore ("_") are acceptable.

    c)The Account ID has already been registered by an existing user. You could try using the separator or numerical characters to change it (for example, “mygame_2009”), change the order of the characters, or try another sequence of characters altogether.

    Once you confirm your account registration, you cannot change your Account ID.

  • 11. How do I make my password safe?

    Passwords are used for account security. To ensure that you have a safe password, never use personal information such as your name, birthday, home number, or mobile number. We suggest you use a random combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and other characters such as “wish94XW!” to be the password.

  • 12. What is security information?

    Security information includes your first & last name, security questions, and their answers. Please ensure that the information is valid for maximum security. Once the information is confirmed, you may never view or change it. So please fill in all of the information and keep it safe, as users will be responsible for any dispute caused by fake information.

  • 13. How do I protect my account information?

    For the safety of your account information, we suggest:

    a)Avoid giving your Account ID or password to others.

    b)Change your password frequently, and if you suspect your password is known to others, change it immediately.

    c)Avoid using a browser's "Auto Completion" and "Remember Password" feature when you log in from public computers (such as internet cafes).

    d)Close all Changyou related windows when logging out of the website.

  • 14. Why is my account banned(Dragon Oath)?

Client/Tech FAQ
  • 1. Why can’t I login to the game even though I was successful the last time?

    There could be a few reasons why the game is not available for access.

    Please check to see if the server is down for maintenance. If it’s down for maintenance, please check the game forum’s for latest information.

    Please check if there is a new game version to download. If there is a new game version, use the game’s launcher to auto update or download the manual patch.

    Lastly please check if your account is valid for this game. If your account is invalid and you do not belong to the IP restricted regions, please E-mail us.

  • 2. Why can’t I update the client?

    If the auto update fails or is too slow, please download the manual patch instead.

    Simply double-click the patch to update the client.

    If the game client crashes when you enter the game, please try installing the game client again.

  • 3. Why doesn’t the installation process finish?

    A. Make sure you are installing Dragon Oath using the administrator account on your computer.

    B. Make sure there are no other programs installing at the same time.

    C. Temporarily disable any virus protection or firewall software (and then re-enable them after installation is finished).

    D. If you are still having issues, please E-mail us with the following information:

        a) Account Name

        b) Client Version

        c) URL of the website from which you downloaded the client

        d) Screen shot if you received an error message

        e) Any additional information that you can provide

  • 4. My download is too slow or doesn't finish

    a) Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

    b) Wait for any other downloads currently in progress to finish (or stop them altogether).

    c) Temporarily disable any virus protection or firewall software (and then re-enable them after installation is finished).

    d) If you are having trouble downloading, or your download is too slow, you can try one of our other official mirrors.

  • 5. Where can I find my Dragon Oath folder? (Dragon Oath)

    a)Right click the Game Icon on your desktop and choose the "properties" option

    b)Select the "Short Cut" tab in that window and there is a "Find Target" or “Open File Location” button at the bottom.

    c)Click on this button, and the game’s folder will open.

  • 6. How do I install the game client? (Dragon Oath)

    a)Find the game client installer you downloaded and double-click to start installing the game client.

    b)Click "Next" and accept the terms of the license agreement.

    c)Choose a setup type and then click "Next". The "Custom" set up type is recommended.

    d)Click "Change" to choose the route to install the game client and then click "Next".

    e)Click "Install” and "Finish" to complete game installation.

  • 7. What do the different colors of the server names mean? (Dragon Oath)

    They reflect the server status:

    Green: Good

    Yellow: Normal

    Orange: Busy

    Red: Congested

    Grey: Maintenance

  • 8. "Incorrect Version" Error (Dragon Oath)

    Try hitting the repair button on the launcher to see if there is a new version of the game available. Hitting the repair button on the launcher will install the latest version of Dragon Oath. Or you can download the new client or patch here.

  • 9. How do I deal with the error tips about D3D9 in the game? (Dragon Oath)

    You need to fix DirectX 9.0c. Please download and install DirectX 9.

  • 10. My screen is white/blue, how can I fix this? (Dragon Oath)

    This could be a graphics card driver problem. Please E-mail us regarding your error along with a screenshot.

Purchasing Tokens FAQ
  • FAQ: How to Purchase Tokens for ChangYou (US) Games

    To purchase tokens for any of the ChangYou (US) games log into your ChangYou (US) account or, if you do not have a ChangYou (US) account, you can create one here to start playing and purchase tokens for any of the games provided by ChangYou (US).

    Once you have logged into your account you will be able to go to the Token Shop page to make purchases.



    Step 1 of the Token Shop is where you can choose a game provided by ChangYou (US) to purchase tokens for.



    After choosing which game to purchase tokens for, you will be able to choose a payment method in Step 2.



    Once a payment method is selected in Step 2, you can choose a token denomination for purchase in Step 3.



    Step 4 of the purchase process is the confirmation of your order. After reviewing your purchase you will need to agree to the User Payment Agreement before being directed to the payment site which you chose in Step 2.



    After clicking Confirm you will be taken off-site to the payment portal that you had chosen in Step 2. Follow all directions on the payment site you were directed to in order to complete your purchase. If the purchase was completed properly, you will see the following page on your ChangYou (US) account page:



    NOTE: If you chose a Cash method to purchase tokens, such as PayByCash, you will see the Purchase Completed page after going through the purchase process on the PayByCash portal; however, you will not receive your tokens in your account until PayByCash receives your payment and send confirmation to ChangYou(US).

    NOTE: Transactions using the free option to receive tokens will not display the transaction details in your Purchase History but the amount of tokens received will display in your Remaining Tokens for the specific game chosen.

Redeeming Tokens FAQ
  • FAQ: How to Redeem Tokens for Dragon Oath

    For a reference on how to Purchase Tokens for any of the ChangYou (US) games read the Purchasing Tokens Guide (click on the “Purchasing Tokens FAQ” tab above to view the guide).

    Once tokens have been purchased through the Token Shop on the ChangYou (US) website, they will need to be redeemed in Dragon Oath.

    How to Redeem Tokens Purchased for Dragon Oath:

    After purchasing tokens for Dragon Oath using your ChangYou (US) account you will need to login to Dragon Oath and travel to the Token Shop Escort Sixth Jin located in Luo Yang.



    Upon speaking with Sixth Jin, he will ask if you want to go to the Token Shop. Select the option: ‘Go to the Token Shop’. Inside the Token Shop speak with Token Merchant Auspicious Sun to receive your purchased tokens.



    When you click on ‘Receive Purchased Tokens’ a new menu will come on screen that will allow you to redeem your tokens. You can select to receive the maximum amount of tokens that were purchased or any other amount less than the total tokens available.



    After selecting Receive the tokens will be deposited into your Dragon Oath account. To view the amount of tokens associated with your game account, open the Token Shop and view the bottom left of the shop.
